Additional corporate research conducted in 2006 included a broad initiative to identify specific organizational roadblocks on the journey to creating gender-balanced teams. To accompany this work, an assessment model was developed that allows companies to plan and measure progress, and to identify key practices and cultural conditions at each stage in the journey. This assessment model will serve as the foundation for an online assessment and mapping tool that companies can use to check progress.
