To succeed in today's competitive business environment, leaders must have confidence, determination, vision and knowledge to drive organizational performance and deliver results. The WFF Executive Leadership Program, led by Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management Faculty is exclusively for the foodservice industry and provides high-potential leaders a global management perspective. Participants in the program have the opportunityto build the skill set necessary to successfully lead organizations while building strategic connections with industry peers.
Focused on the core WFF leadership competencies, this uniquely flexible program allows participants to select 4 separate sessions to attend over the course of 24 months. Sessions are designed to fit into participants' busy schedules with each session providing 4 intensive classes over the course of 2 – 2 1/2 days. 3 separate sessions are offered annually; 2 on Kellogg Campuses and 1 during the WFF's Executive Summit.
This unique Executive Leadership Program offers the opportunity to:

Course Content
Content is developed by the faculty of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and varies at each session. Examples of course topics and themes include: Thinking Strategically, Building Effective Teams, Leading in a Crisis, Developing Positive Interactions, Creating and Managing Strategic Alliances, Emotional Intelligence, and more.
Annual Program Session Schedule
Kellogg Campus Sessions alternate between Chicago, IL (November) and Miami, FL (March)
- These sessions begin at 11:00 am and adjourn at 3:00 pm the following day. One room night is included. It is recommended that participants begin the program at one of these sessions.
Sessions during the WFF Executive Summit include two room nights and are:
- July 30 – August 1, 2012 – Phoenix, AZ
- July 29 – 31, 2013 – Chicago, IL
- July 28 – 30, 2014 – New Orleans, LA
NOVEMBER 2012 SESSION

The November 7 -8, 2012 Session will be held at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management Campus in Chicago, IL.
The content for this campus session covers 'Decision Making and Negotiations', and will be led by Victoria Medvec, Professor of Management & Organizations, and Executive Director of the Center for Executive Women at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Victoria Medvec is the Adeline Barry Davee Professor of Management & Organizations and Executive Director of the Center for Executive Women. Professor Medvec joined the Kellogg School's faculty in 1995. Her research focuses on judgment and decision making, with a particular emphasis on how people feel about the decisions they have made. Her current research explores both independent decision making and interdependent decisions within the context of negotiations. Her work is published in academic journals such as
Psychological Review, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes. In addition, her research has been highlighted in numerous popular media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Today Show.
Professor Medvec teaches in many executive programs, both at the Kellogg School's Allen Center and in numerous individual companies. Her consulting and teaching activities bring her in touch with executives from around the world. Her outside clients include General Electric, Merck, McKinsey, Hearst Communications, Exelon, Abbott Labs, Ernst and Young, Booz Allen and Hamilton, Everett Smith Group, Deloitte and Touche, Kaiser Permanente, Baker & McKenzie, Redi-Cut Foods, Guidant Corporation, ZS Associates, Motorola, Business Objects, PCA, United Healthcare, Exelon, Akzo Nobel, Foote Cone and Belding, Guaranty Bank, Scottish Power, Novartis, and Mattel.

Who Should Participate?
Exclusively for the Foodservice Industry, this program is for high-potential leaders from all functional areas including finance, human resources, marketing, operations and sales who have:
- Managed people
- Complex project management skills
- Delivered results that align with company strategy
- Experience presenting to an executive team
- Held client facilitation meetings (internal and external)
- Been responsible for managing a budget
- Mastered and is able to executive the WFF Emerging Leader competencies

Certification Guidelines
In order to complete the WFF Executive Leadership Program, participants must complete 4 Educational Sessions within a contiguous 24 month period – select any combination of Kellogg Campus sessions or WFF Executive Summits.
Graduates of the program will be recognized during the Executive Forum session of the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference each year in April. Attendance at the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference is encouraged, but not required for course completion.
Guidelines for Application to the WFF Executive Leadership Program
- Application and approval process is managed by Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management
- Full Registration Fee must be paid when application is approved
- Participant must take the full flight of courses provided in each selected session
- Program must be completed within 24 months or participants will forfeit Registration Fee
- Registration is non-transferable
Registration Information
Program Registration Fee is $15,000 and includes the following:
- Attendance at 4 Educational Sessions within a 24 month period.
- Accommodations at Kellogg Campuses and Executive Summit
- All meals are provided
- Personal Concierge
- Certificate of Completion
