At the center of the Women’s Foodservice Forum live 11 powerful propositions; the WFF Core Leadership Competencies. It is one thing to know them. It’s another thing to live them. With more than 20 years and thousands of members, the WFF is boldly demonstrating how these competencies transcend words, inspire dialogue and ignite careers within the foodservice industry.

These leadership development competencies form the basis of every program and service we offer to ensure quality programming that is uniquely designed to build the skills needed to elevate women leaders.

The WFF Leadership Competencies form the basis of every program and service we offer. Created through a robust and thoughtful research process, these behaviorally-based competencies provide the roadmap for success for women and men in the foodservice industry. Whether for an individual who seeks a better understanding of how to progress in her career or for an organization seeking to provide a great environment where women can thrive, the WFF Leadership Competencies provide a strong foundation from which to build confidence and competence in women leaders.

To help our members understand where they stand against each of these competencies, the WFF created the Leadership Competency Assessment, an on-line tool available to members at all career levels. This on-line assessment provides members with the opportunity to rate herself against the WFF Leadership Competencies and then create a developmental plan to power her progress. Also a part of the on-line assessment is a resource library with valuable resources aimed at career progression and success.

The Leadership Competency Assessment is a valuable tool for those members and non-members who are attending any of WFF’s educational programming events. By taking the assessment prior to registration, members and non-members can know clearly which educational event or opportunity can enhance their career progression.

The Leadership Competency Assessment is also a valuable tool for creating dialogue with supervisors or peers. By completing the on-line assessment, members can download assessment results and use them as a springboard to powerful discussions, personal reflections and professional development planning.
