WFF Hosts Industry Leaders During 5th Annual Executive Women's Summit
More than 160 female executives in the foodservice industry attended the 5th Annual Executive Women's Summit. Held in Chicago September 7-9, the event was exclusively presented for diverse executive female members of the Women's Foodservice Forum as a unique opportunity to convene, collaborate and network in an intimate environment.
With a high–caliber collection of speakers, programming and attendees,
executive women found relevant, enriching content in the areas of business and financial acumen,
building strategic networks and moving beyond operational efficiencies to uncover true strategic
levers for their business. Guest speakers included
Marian Powers – Adjunct
Associate Professor of Accounting Information and Management - Kellogg Graduate School of
Management at Northwestern University ,
Holly J. Raider –
Client-Faculty Liaison - The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and
Sonia Marciano – Clinical
Associate Professor of Management and Organizations - New York University Stern School of
Business.
New to the WFF Summit in 2008 was the Summit Forum, modeled after the Executive Forum
offered each year during the WFF Annual Leadership Development Conference.
Joan Vieweger - Partner and EVP,
Perspectives Inc./The Consulting Group moderated a group of experts on the critical issues facing
the foodservice industry including
Michelle Cherrick - Co-head
Consumer Banking, Thomas Weisel Partners;
Janice Meyer - Managing Director,
Consumer Group, Morgan Stanley;
Sally Smith - President and CEO,
Buffalo Wild Wings and
Clarice Turner - President and
COO, Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza.
Held every year in the early Fall, this event is specially designed for WFF executive level
