Susan Mangels
Dr. Susan Mangels has been the President of Lexington College since
1997. Her Ph.D. in Education Policy at the University of Illinois centers on leadership, female
executives, and career theory. Susan holds a B.A. in art history from Furman University and an
Ed.M. in education administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University. She serves
on the American Council on Education’s Commission on Women in Higher Education; serves as a trustee
of Morgan Park Academy in Chicago and is a past Board chair of the Chicago Culinary Guild. She
speaks frequently on the topics of women in the professions, work life balance issues, feminist
theory, and wine.
