Kat Cole joined Cinnabon as Chief Operating Officer in November 2010. She was named president in January 2011. Prior to her role with FOCUS Brands, Kat was Vice President of Training and Development for Hooters of America, Inc. She moved up from working in the restaurants to various leadership positions over 15 years, ultimately reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the Executive Team. Kat serves on the executive committee as past chair for the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA), chairs the Certification Governing Board for the NRAEF, and has chaired various other committees. Among many other awards, Kat won the 2007 Women’s Foodservice Forum’s Volunteer of the Year Award, the 2008 Motivator of the Year Award from the Elliot Leadership Institute and the 2010 Georgia Restaurant Association Crystal of Excellence (GRACE) Award for Distinguished Service. She is an avid volunteer with organizations that support women and children in need and fighting hunger and homelessness. She received her MBA from Georgia State University.
