Edna Morris
Edna Morris, WFF Chair, 1989-1992
Currently President
Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits
As an original founder and the first WFF Chair, Edna was responsible for laying the
foundation to give the organization a strong start. She remembers the initial meeting for the
interview published in Restaurant Business and the calls afterward discussing the need to do
"something" to affect change.
At the time she was SVP of Human Resources for Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., and went on to
become president of Red Lobster, a post from which she resigned in 2003 and was most recently,
president of the James Beard Foundation, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to celebrate,
preserve and nurture America's culinary heritage and diversity.
Now President of Blue Coral Seafood and Spirits, Edna continues to be recognized among the
industry's most experienced and successful leaders. Known as accessible, credible and a role
model, Edna has become synonymous with WFF.
