As a WFF Volunteer, Barbara Kane’s contributions in 2008 will be
felt for years to come. Chair of the 2008 Executive Women’s Summit, Barbara and her team received
the highest levels of meeting overall event expectations in the past 3 years. Participant feedback
earned the conference a 90% Top 2 Box score of Excellent or Very Good for educational
content.
As Committee Chair, Barbara oversees multiple sub-committees whose
role is to ensure the delivery of outstanding and compelling executive level content at the 2009
Annual Leadership Development Conference and Executive Women’s Summit. Dedicating over 2 hours a
day to this leadership role, Barbara participates on every Conference content call in addition to
driving the strategic planning efforts.
Barbara helped restructure the Executive Programming Committee so
that nearly 40 members have active roles, with a minimum taking on leadership positions. Her
ability to manage and mentor her team has driven overall program quality and execution and
presented members with an opportunity to enhance their individual skills.
Barbara’s contributions to WFF will go well beyond her 2008
efforts. Thanks to her initiation of a strategic planning process for the Executive Programming
Committee that will result in a longer-term plan that aligns with WFF’s overall strategic plan
which will maximize the committee’s effectiveness going forward.
Barbara is Assistant Vice-President of Industry Relations for
Ecolab Inc.where she represents Ecolab cross divisionally with all trade associations in the areas
of foodservice, hospitality, healthcare, government, education, and manufacturing. She graduated
with honors with degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
