Dr. Rohini Anand, Senior Vice-President and Global Chief Diversity Officer at Sodexo, is a pioneer in every sense of the word. She has built Sodexo’s Diversity and Inclusion culture from the ground up, dramatically altering the culture that existed prior to her tenure at the company.

Through her strategic focus, Dr Anand has created a more diverse and inclusive culture for all Sodexo employees, ensuring that the needs of women and minorities are addressed in the process.

Creating and implementing the company’s Diversity Scorecard Index, Dr, Anand provided Sodexo’s CEO with a powerful tool to link scorecard results to a significant portion of management bonuses. To ensure the organization “stays the course,” diversity bonuses are paid out regardless of financial performance.

Recognizing the significant value of mentoring, Dr. Anand implemented a formal program designed to strengthen cross-division and cross functional relationships. The end result—people achieving to their full potential while enhancing diversity competencies in leadership.

Addressing work/life issues, Dr. Anand led the development and implementation of a corporate-wide strategy to address the needs of all Sodexo employees. The initiative has enhanced the company’s ability to attract, engage and retain employees by creating a healthy and productive environment.

Dr. Anand’s global work includes involvement in several initiatives including, the Global Inclusion Summit, European Professional Women’s Network, International Women’s Forum and the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society.

Dr. Anand received her PhD from the University of Michigan and has served on the boards of several national and international organizations.
