The city is served by numerous airlines, and a non-stop flight from most major cities. Flying time from New York is 5 hours; Dallas, 2 hours; Chicago, 3 1/2 hours; Los Angeles, 1 hour. Taxis and limos are plentiful. A taxi ride from the airport to the MGM Grand will cost approximately $12–$15. Weather Temperatures in April average a high of 78 F and a low of 51 F. It’s always best to dress in layers as the evenings can be quite cool. As this is a desert area, precipitation is minimal. Monorail The Las Vegas Monorail runs for 4 miles between the MGM Grand and the Sahara. Stations include: MGM Grand, Bally’s & Paris Las Vegas, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/Imperial Palace, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton and the Sahara.
