Competency
Assessment
Competencies, which reflect the criteria for successful performance, can be used to help you understand and develop the skills which are most important for organizational and personal success. The online Leadership Competency Assessment (LCA), an exclusive WFF benefit, is available to all members.
We recommend that all members take their LCA once a year.
Each competency is related to a specific list of skills. Proficiency attributes are evaluated by professional level to provide the truest picture and recommendations as possible.
Upon completion of the LCA, use your results to help you register for Conference workshops that provide the development you need most. The 2008 Conference focuses on four of the WFF 10 Core Leadership Competencies:
Initiative: The drive for growth and improvement, initiative underpins many other core competencies. Individuals with initiative strive to influence events in their organizations and beyond.
Visioning/Setting Direction: Understand where a business must go to be successful with the ability to share this vision with clear direction that guides and energizes others.
Tough-Mindedness: Make hard decisions and address issues directly; Empower team members to do the same.
Developing Others: Mentor and coach team members to develop their leadership skills through the effective delegation of challenging assignments.
